Nasirah

Nasirah (Arab: النَّاصِرَة, an-Nāṣirah, Ibrani: נָצְרַת, rumi: Nāṣəraṯ, Syriac: ܢܨܪܬ Naṣrath; bahasa Inggeris: Nazareth) atau Nazaret[1] ialah sebuah kota dalam kawasan utara tanah Palestin dikuasai entiti Israel 146 kilometer dari Baitulmaqdis.

Penduduknya banyak berbangsa Arab 69% Muslim dan 30.9% Kristian atau Nasrani,[2][3][4][5] gelaran "Nasrani" sendirinya datang dari kesaksian peristiwa Yesus (atau Nabi Isa) dilahirkan kepada Maryam yang dibutirkan dalam kitab Wasiat Baru bacaan umat Kristian[6] bahkan mereka turut digelar demikian (نَصَارَىNaṣārā) dalam Al-Quran.[7] Hal ini ditandakan dengan banyak tempat ziarah penting kepada umat Kristian/Nasrani seperti Gereja Berita Baik dan Gereja Berita Baik Ortodoks di mana umat Kristian (masing-masing aliran Katolik dan gereja Ortodoks Yunani) percaya tapak salah satunya mana Malaikat Jibril memberitakan kepada Maryam keadaan beliau bakal berbadan dua.

Ia juga merupakan pusat kebudayaan, perdagangan dan siasah bandar terpenting dalam kalangan orang Arab Palestin beredar dalam entiti Israel,[2] bahkan juga pusat bangkitnya pergerakan nasionalisme Palestin.[8]
