Coklat gelap (juga dikenali sebagai coklat kosong)[1] ialah satu bentuk coklat yang mempunyai kandungan mentega koko yang lebih tinggi dan kurang susu berbanding lain-lain bentuk coklat. Piawaian industri dan kerajaan terhadap produk yang boleh dilabel "coklat gelap" adalah berbeza-beza mengikut negara dan pasaran.[2]

Coklat gelap mengandungi antioksidan, seperti polifenol, dan agak rendah gula. Ia mempunyai reputasi sebagai alternatif yang lebih sihat berbanding jenis coklat lain, seperti coklat susu.[3][4] Coklat gelap juga telah digambarkan sebagai makanan super yang berpotensi.[5] Ini telah membantu membawa kepada peningkatan permintaan global untuk coklat gelap.[6]
