Anthracoceros ialah genus enggang dalam keluarga Bucerotidae. Ahli-ahlinya terdapat di sekitar Asia.
Taksonomi
[sunting | sunting sumber]Genus tersebut diperkenalkan oleh semulajadiman Jerman Ludwig Reichenbach pada tahun 1849.[1] Spesies jenisnya kemudiannya ditetapkan sebagai enggang tangling (Anthracoceros coronatus).[2][3] Namanya ialah gabungan perkataan bahasa Yunani Purba ανθραξ anthrax, ανθρακος anthrakos yang bermaksud "hitam arang batu" dan κερας keras, κερως keros yang bermaksud "tanduk".[4] Kajian filogenetik molekul yang diterbitkan pada 2013 mendapati Anthracoceros ialah saudara kepada genus Ocyceros yang mengandungi tiga spesies enggang kelabu.[5]
