അപ്പോസൈനേസീ കുടുംബത്തിന്റെ ഒരു ഉപകുടുംബമാണ് റുവോൾഫിയോഡേ (Rauvolfioideae).[2] ഇതിലെ പലസ്പീഷ്സുകളും വലിയ വള്ളികളും മറ്റുപലതും ബഹുവർഷകുറ്റിച്ചെടികളും ആണ്.
