ഒരു അമേരിക്കൻ പാചക വിദഗ്ദ്ധയും (ഷെഫ്) എഴുത്തുകാരിയും ടെലിവിഷൻ അവതാരകയുമായിരുന്നു ജൂലിയ കരോലിൻ ചൈൽഡ് (Julia Carolyn Child née McWilliams;^[1] ജീവിതകാലം: ആഗസ്റ്റ് 15, 1912 – ആഗസ്റ്റ് 13, 2004). ‘മാസ്റ്ററിംഗ് ദ ആർട്ട് ഓഫ് ഫ്രെഞ്ച് കുക്കിംഗ്‘ (Mastering the Art of French Cooking) എന്ന തന്റെ ആദ്യ ഗ്രന്ഥത്തിലൂടെ ഫ്രഞ്ച് പാചകവിധികൾ അമേരിക്കയിലെ പൊതുജനങ്ങൾക്ക് പരിചയപ്പെടുത്തിയതിലൂടെ അവർ പ്രശസ്തയായിരുന്നു.
