ഹാഫിസ് ഇബ്രാഹിം
മുഹമ്മദ് ഹാഫിള് ഇബ്റാഹിം( Arabic: محمد حافظ إبراهيم ) ഫെബ്രുവരി 24, 1872 ൽ ഇജിപ്തിലെ അസ്യൂത്തിൽ ജനിച്ചു. നൈലിന്റെ കവി എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന അദ്ദേഹം പ്രസിദ്ധനായ അറബി കവികളിലൊരാളാണ്. പ്രശസ്ത അറബി കവി അഹ് മദ് ശൌഖിയുടെ സമകാലികൻ. മരണം 1932 ജൂൺ 21.
ജീവിതരേഖ
[തിരുത്തുക]തുർക്കി വംശജയായ മാതാവിനും ഈജിപ്തുകാരനായ പിതാവിനും ജനിച്ച ഹാഫിള് ഇബ്റാഹിമിന് വളരെ ചെറുപ്പത്തിലെ പിതാവിനെ നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു. അതേ തുടർന്ന് കെയ്റോവിലേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുവരപ്പെട്ട അദ്ദേഹം പിന്നീട് അമ്മാവന്റെ സംരക്ഷണത്തിലായിരുന്നു. അവിടെ വെച്ച് പഠനം നടത്തി. വളരെ ദരിദ്രനായിരുന്നു അമ്മാവൻ, പ്രയാസം കണ്ടറിഞ്ഞ ഹാഫിള് ഇബ്റാഹിം ഒരു കവിതയെഴുതി വച്ച് വീടുവിട്ടിറങ്ങി.

അഭിഭാഷകനായി കുറച്ചു കാലം പ്രവർത്തിച്ച ഹാഫീസ്, പിന്നീട് കൈറോവിലെ ഒരു സൈനിക വിദ്യാലയത്തിൽ ചേർന്നു. സുഡാനിൽ സൈനികനായി ചേർന്നെങ്കിലും 1899 ലെ സുഡാൻ സൈനിക വിപ്ലവത്തെത്തുടർന്ന് ജോലി നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു. 1911 ൽ ഈജിപ്ഷ്യൻ ഗ്രന്ഥാലയത്തിന്റെ തലവനായി ജോലിക്ക് ചേർന്നു. പിന്നീട് മരണം വരെ ഈ ജോലിയിൽ തുടർന്നു. വിക്ടർ ഹ്യൂഗോയുടെ പാവങ്ങൾ അറബിയിലേക്ക് വിവർത്തനം ചെയ്തു.[1]
