റിപ്പബ്ലിക് ഓഫ് മഹാബാദ് അല്ലെങ്കിൽ റിപ്പബ്ലിക് ഓഫ് കുർദിസ്ഥാൻ[5][6][7][8] (കുർദിഷ്: کۆماری کوردستان / Komara Kurdistanê; പേർഷ്യൻ: جمهوری مهاباد) ഇന്നത്തെ ഇറാനിൽ 22 ജനുവരി മുതൽ 15 ഡിസംബർ 1946 വരെ നിലനിന്നിരുന്ന ഒരു അംഗീകരിക്കപ്പെടാത്ത ഹ്രസ്വകാല കുർദിഷ് സ്വയം ഭരണ റിപ്പബ്ലിക്ക് ആയിരുന്നു. സോവിയറ്റ് യൂണിയന്റെ പാവ രാഷ്ട്രമായിരുന്ന റിപ്പബ്ലിക് ഓഫ് മഹാബാദ്, സമാനമായ ഒരു ഹ്രസ്വകാല, അംഗീകാരമില്ലാത്ത സോവിയറ്റ് പാവ രാഷ്ട്രമായിരുന്ന അസർബൈജാൻ പീപ്പിൾസ് ഗവൺമെന്റിനൊപ്പമാണ് ആവിർഭവിച്ചത്.[3][4] റിപ്പബ്ലിക് ഓഫ് മഹാബാദിന്റെ തലസ്ഥാനം വടക്കുപടിഞ്ഞാറൻ ഇറാനിലെ മഹാബാദ് നഗരമായിരുന്നു. മഹാബാദും സമീപ നഗരങ്ങളായ ബുക്കാൻ, ഓഷ്‌നവീഹ്, പിരാൻഷഹർ, നാഗാഡെഹ് എന്നിവയുൾപ്പെടെ ഒരു ചെറിയ പ്രദേശം ഈ റിപ്പബ്ലിക് ഉൾക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.[9] ഇതുകൂടാതെ അസർബൈജാൻ പീപ്പിൾസ് ഗവൺമെന്റിന്റെ കൈവശമുണ്ടായിരുന്ന ഉർമിയ, ഖോയ്, സൽമാസ് എന്നീ മൂന്ന് നഗരങ്ങൾക്കൂടി ഈ റിപ്പബ്ലിക്ക് അവകാശപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.[10]
പശ്ചാത്തലം
[തിരുത്തുക]1941 ഓഗസ്റ്റ് അവസാനത്തോടെ സഖ്യകക്ഷികൾ ഇറാനെ ആക്രമിക്കുകയും രാജ്യത്തിൻറെ വടക്ക് ഭാഗം സോവിയറ്റുകളുടെ നിയന്ത്രണത്തിൽ വരുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഒരു കേന്ദ്ര ഗവൺമെന്റിന്റെ അഭാവത്തിൽ, സോവിയറ്റുകൾ വടക്കുപടിഞ്ഞാറൻ ഇറാനെ സോവിയറ്റ് യൂണിയനുമായി ബന്ധിപ്പിക്കാൻ ശ്രമിക്കുകയും ഒപ്പം കുർദിഷ് ദേശീയതയെ പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഈ അനുകൂല ഘടകങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് ഇറാനിയൻ ഭരണകൂടത്തിന്റെ പരിധിക്കുള്ളിൽ ഇറാനിലെ കുർദിഷ് ജനതയ്ക്ക് സ്വയംഭരണവും സ്വയംഭരണവും തേടുന്ന ഒരു കുർദിഷ് പ്രകടനപത്രിക ഉണ്ടായി.[11] ഇതോടെ കുർദുകൾ അധികമായി വസിച്ചിരുന്ന മഹാബാദ് നഗരത്തിൽ, ഗോത്രത്തലവന്മാരുടെ പിന്തുണയോടെ മധ്യവർഗക്കാരുടെ ഒരു കമ്മിറ്റി പ്രാദേശിക ഭരണം ഏറ്റെടുത്തു. സൊസൈറ്റി ഫോർ ദി റിവൈവൽ ഓഫ് കുർദിസ്ഥാൻ (കോമേലി ജിയാനവേ കുർദിസ്ഥാൻ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ജെകെ) എന്ന പേരിൽ ഒരു ഒരു രാഷ്ട്രീയ പാർട്ടി ഉടലെടുത്തു. ഒരു മത നിയമജ്ഞ കുടുംബത്തിന്റെ തലവനായിരുന്ന ഖാസി മുഹമ്മദിനെ പാർട്ടിയുടെ ചെയർമാനായി തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു. 1945 ഡിസംബർ വരെ റിപ്പബ്ലിക് പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കപ്പെട്ടില്ലെങ്കിലും, ഇതിൻറ പതനം വരെ ഖാസിയുടെ കമ്മിറ്റി അഞ്ച് വർഷത്തിലേറെക്കാലം ഈ പ്രദേശത്തെ നിയന്ത്രിച്ചു.[12] 1946-ൽ ഐക്യരാഷ്ട്രസഭ സുരക്ഷാസമിതി 2, 3, 5 എന്നീ പ്രമേയങ്ങൾ പാസാക്കിക്കൊണ്ട് ഇറാൻ അധിനിവേശം നടത്തുന്ന സോവിയറ്റ് സേനയെ നീക്കം ചെയ്യാൻ പ്രേരണയും അന്തിമമായി അതിന് സൗകര്യമൊരുക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
