രാജു ഏക്നാഥ് ഗെയ്ക്ക്വാദ്' (25 സെപ്റ്റംബർ 1990 ജനനം ൽ മുംബൈ, മഹാരാഷ്ട്ര ) ഇന്ത്യൻ സൂപ്പർ ലീഗിൽ കേരള ബ്ലാസ്റ്റേഴ്സ് എഫ്സിക്കു വേണ്ടി ഡിഫൻഡർ ആയി കളിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ ഫുട്ബോളർ ആണ് . ഗെയ്ക്ക്വാഡ് പന്തിൽ വളരെ അനായാസമാണ്, വലതു കാൽപ്പാടാണെങ്കിലും ഒരു ഫുൾ ബാക്ക് ആയി എളുപ്പത്തിൽ പൂരിപ്പിക്കാൻ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് കഴിയും, കൂടാതെ ലോംഗ് ത്രോ സ്പെഷ്യലിസ്റ്റുമാണ്.

[തിരുത്തുക]ടാറ്റ ഫുട്ബോൾ അക്കാദമിയിൽ സമയം ചെലവഴിച്ച ശേഷം ഗെയ്ക്വാഡ് ഐ-ലീഗിൽ പൈലൻ ആരോസിനായി (പിന്നെ എഐഎഫ്എഫ് ഇലവൻ) ഒപ്പിട്ടു. 2010 ഡിസംബർ 3 ന് സാൾട്ട് ലേക്ക് സ്റ്റേഡിയത്തിൽ പ്രയാഗ് യുണൈറ്റഡിനെതിരെ ക്ലബ്ബിനായി അരങ്ങേറ്റം കുറിച്ചു. ഐ-ലീഗിലെ പൈലൻ ആരോസിന്റെ ആദ്യ ഗെയിം കൂടിയാണിത്. പൈലന് 2–1ന് തോറ്റു. [1]

[തിരുത്തുക]2011 ജൂലൈയിൽ ഗെയ്ക്വാഡ് ഈസ്റ്റ് ബംഗാളിനായി പൈലനിൽ ഒരു സീസണിന് ശേഷം ഒപ്പുവെച്ചു, 2012 ഫെബ്രുവരി 4 ന് പരിക്കിനായി സീസണിലെ ആദ്യ കുറച്ച് മാസങ്ങൾ കാണാതായതിനെത്തുടർന്ന് ക്ലബ്ബിനായി അരങ്ങേറ്റം കുറിച്ചു. [2]

[തിരുത്തുക]2011 ഒളിമ്പിക് ക്വാളിഫയറുകളിൽ മ്യാൻമറിന്റെ U23 കളിൽ ഗെയ്ക്വാഡ് 2011 ഫെബ്രുവരി 23 ന് ഇന്ത്യ U23 നായി അരങ്ങേറ്റം കുറിച്ചു; ഇന്ത്യ U23 2–1ന് വിജയിച്ചു. [5] 2011 മാർച്ച് 21 ന് മലേഷ്യയിലെ പെറ്റാലിംഗ് ജയയിലെ എം‌ബി‌പി‌ജെ സ്റ്റേഡിയത്തിൽ ചൈനീസ് തപെയ്ക്കെതിരായ 2012 എ‌എഫ്‌സി ചലഞ്ച് കപ്പ് യോഗ്യതാ മത്സരത്തിൽ അദ്ദേഹം ഇന്ത്യയ്ക്കായി സീനിയർ അരങ്ങേറ്റം നടത്തി; ഇന്ത്യ 3–0ന് വിജയിച്ചു. [6] 2011 ഡിസംബർ 11 ന് ഗെയ്ക്വാഡ് ഇന്ത്യയുമായുള്ള ആദ്യ ചാമ്പ്യൻഷിപ്പ് നേടി. 2011 ലെ സാഫ് കപ്പിൽ അഫ്ഗാനിസ്ഥാനെ തോൽപ്പിക്കാൻ ഇന്ത്യയെ സഹായിച്ചു. [7] 2012 സെപ്റ്റംബർ 2 ന് ഇന്ത്യൻ തലസ്ഥാനമായ ദില്ലിയിലെ നെഹ്‌റു സ്റ്റേഡിയത്തിൽ നടന്ന കാമറൂണിന്റെ ബി ടീമിനെ പരാജയപ്പെടുത്താൻ ഇന്ത്യക്ക് കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ 2012 നെഹ്‌റു കപ്പ് നേടാൻ ഗെയ്ക്ക്വാഡ് ഇന്ത്യയെ നയിച്ചു.
