ബ്രദേഴ്‌സ് ഗ്രിം (KHM 20) ശേഖരിച്ച ഒരു ജർമ്മൻ യക്ഷിക്കഥയാണ് "ദ ബ്രേവ് ലിറ്റിൽ ടെയ്‌ലർ" അല്ലെങ്കിൽ "ദി വാലിയന്റ് ലിറ്റിൽ ടെയ്‌ലർ" അല്ലെങ്കിൽ "ദി ഗാലന്റ് ടെയ്‌ലർ" (ജർമ്മൻ: ദാസ് ടാപ്ഫെരെ ഷ്‌നൈഡർലിൻ). "ദി ബ്രേവ് ലിറ്റിൽ ടെയ്‌ലർ" എന്നത് ആർനെ-തോംസൺ ടൈപ്പ് 1640-ന്റെ ഒരു കഥയാണ്. വ്യക്തിഗത എപ്പിസോഡുകൾ മറ്റ് കഥാ തരങ്ങളിൽ തരംതിരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.[1]

അസാമാന്യമായ ശക്തിയും ധീരതയും ഉപയോഗിച്ച് നിരവധി ഭീമന്മാരെയും ക്രൂരനായ രാജാവിനെയും കബളിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഒരു എളിയ തയ്യൽക്കാരനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ളതാണ് ഈ കാഥ. തയ്യൽക്കാരനെ സമ്പത്തും അധികാരവും നേടുന്നതിലേക്ക് ഇത് നയിക്കുന്നു.
