ബ്രാഡ്‌ഫോർഡ് സർവകലാശാലയിലെ പ്രൊഫസറായ ഒരു ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് ബയോമെഡിക്കൽ ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞയാണ് ഡയാന ആൻഡേഴ്സൺ MBE. അവരുടെ ഗവേഷണം നേരത്തെയുള്ള കാൻസർ കണ്ടെത്തലിലും ജനിതക സ്ഥിരതയിലും ശ്രദ്ധ കേന്ദ്രീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. കാൻസർ കണ്ടെത്താനുള്ള അവരുടെ സേവനങ്ങൾക്ക് 2022-ൽ ഓർഡർ ഓഫ് ദി ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് എംപയർ ആയി അവർ നിയമിക്കപ്പെട്ടു.
ആദ്യകാല ജീവിതവും വിദ്യാഭ്യാസവും
[തിരുത്തുക]വെയിൽസ് സർവ്വകലാശാലയിലെ ബിരുദ വിദ്യാർത്ഥിനിയായിരുന്നു ആൻഡേഴ്സൺ. അവിടെ അവർ ജീവശാസ്ത്രത്തിൽ വൈദഗ്ദ്ധ്യം നേടി. ബിരുദ പഠനത്തിനായി മാഞ്ചസ്റ്റർ സർവകലാശാലയിലേക്ക് മാറുകയും 1971-ൽ അവിടെനിന്ന് ബിരുദാനന്തര ബിരുദം പൂർത്തിയാക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഡോക്ടറൽ ഗവേഷണത്തിനായി അവർ മാഞ്ചസ്റ്ററിൽ തുടർന്നു. 1973-ൽ ഓങ്കോളജിയിൽ പിഎച്ച്ഡി പൂർത്തിയാക്കി.[1]
