യൂറോപ്പിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ചരിത്ര നഗരമാണ് സ്പെയിനിലുള്ള കൊർഡോബയിലെ ചരിത്ര നഗരം. 1984 ൽ യുനെസ്കോ മോസ്ക്ക്-കത്തീഡ്രൽ ഓഫ് കൊർഡോബ ലോകപൈതൃകസ്ഥാനമായി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു. പിന്നീട് ഇത് വികസിപ്പിച്ച് പഴയനഗരത്തിന്റെ ഭൂരിഭാഗവും ഇതിന്റെ പരിധിയിൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു. റോമൻ, അറബിക്,ക്രിസ്റ്റ്യൻ കാലഘട്ടങ്ങളിലെ അനേകം സ്മാരകങ്ങൾ ഈ നഗരത്തിൽ സംരക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.
