ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ബീഹാർ, ജാർഖണ്ഡ്[5] സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിലെ അംഗ പ്രദേശത്തിന്റെ പ്രാഥമിക ഭാഷയാണ് അംഗിക. മൈഥിലിയുടെ രൂപാന്തരം ആണിത്. അംഗിക ഭാഷ (𑂃𑂁𑂏𑂱𑂍𑂰 𑂦𑂰𑂭𑂰/अंगिका भाषा/অঙ্গিকা ভাষা[6]) അല്ലെങ്കിൽ പകരമായി ചിക്ക-ചിക്കി എന്ന് വർഗ്ഗീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.[7][8]ഇന്ത്യയെ കൂടാതെ, നേപ്പാളിലെ തെരായ് പ്രദേശത്തിന്റെ ചില ഭാഗങ്ങളിലും ഈ ഭാഷ സംസാരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.[1]ഇത് കിഴക്കൻ ഇന്തോ-ആര്യൻ ഭാഷാ കുടുംബത്തിൽ പെടുന്നു. അസമീസ്, ബംഗാളി, മാഗാഹി തുടങ്ങിയ ഭാഷകളുമായി ഇതിന് അടുത്ത ബന്ധമുണ്ടെന്ന് അവകാശപ്പെടുന്നു.
ഇന്ത്യൻ ഭരണഘടനയുടെ എട്ടാം ഷെഡ്യൂളിൽ അംഗികയെ പട്ടികപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടില്ല. എന്നിരുന്നാലും, അംഗിക ഭാഷാ പ്രസ്ഥാനങ്ങൾ ഇത് ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തണമെന്ന് വാദിച്ചു സമർപ്പിച്ച അഭ്യർത്ഥന നിലവിൽ സർക്കാരിന്റെ പരിഗണനയിലാണ്.[9] കൈതി ലിപികൾ ചരിത്രപരമായി ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരുന്നെങ്കിലും അംഗികം തിര്ഹുത ലിപിയിലാണ് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നത്.
പ്രദേശം
[തിരുത്തുക]ബീഹാറിലെ മുൻഗർ, ഭഗൽപൂർ, ബങ്ക ജില്ലകളും ജാർഖണ്ഡിലെ സന്താൽ പർഗാന ഡിവിഷനും ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന അംഗ പ്രദേശത്താണ് അംഗിക അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ചിക്ക-ചിക്കി പ്രധാനമായും സംസാരിക്കുന്നത്.[10]ഇത് സംസാരിക്കുന്നവരുടെ എണ്ണം ഏകദേശം 15 ദശലക്ഷം ആളുകൾ ആണ്.[11] ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ബീഹാർ, ജാർഖണ്ഡ് സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങൾക്ക് പുറമേ, നേപ്പാളിലെ മൊറാംഗ് ജില്ലയിലും ഇത് ന്യൂനപക്ഷ ഭാഷയായി സംസാരിക്കുന്നു. 2011 ലെ നേപ്പാൾ സെൻസസ് സമയത്ത് മൊറാങ്ങിലെ 1.9% ആളുകൾ അംഗികയെ അവരുടെ മാതൃഭാഷയായി തിരിച്ചെടുത്തു.[12]
മൈഥിലിയുമായുള്ള ബന്ധം
[തിരുത്തുക]ലിംഗ്വിസ്റ്റിക് സർവേ ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യ (1903) ൽ ജോർജ്ജ് എ ഗ്രിയേഴ്സൺ മൈഥിലിയുടെ ഒരു ഭാഷാഭേദമായി അംഗികയെ തരംതിരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.[13] എന്നിരുന്നാലും, കുറച്ച് ആളുകൾ ഇപ്പോൾ ഒരു സ്വതന്ത്ര ഭാഷയായി അതിന്റെ പദവി ഉറപ്പിക്കുന്നു. 20-ആം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിന്റെ തുടക്കത്തിൽ ബീഹാറിലെ മൈഥിലി ഭാഷയുടെ വക്താക്കൾ മൈഥിലി-മീഡിയം പ്രൈമറി വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം ഉപയോഗിക്കണമെന്ന് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടപ്പോൾ, മൈഥിലി വിരുദ്ധരായ കുറച്ച് ആളുകൾ അവരെ പിന്തുണച്ചില്ല. പകരം ഹിന്ദി-മീഡിയം വിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തെ അനുകൂലിച്ചു.[14]
മൈഥിലി ഭാഷാ പ്രസ്ഥാനത്തെ ദുർബലപ്പെടുത്താൻ ബീഹാർ ഗവൺമെന്റും ഹിന്ദി അനുകൂല ബീഹാർ രാഷ്ട്രഭാഷ പരിഷത്തും അംഗികയെയും ബജ്ജിക്കയെയും വ്യത്യസ്ത ഭാഷകളായി ഉയർത്തിയെന്ന് മൈഥിലി വക്താക്കൾ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു. [14] പ്രധാനമായും മൈഥിലി ബ്രാഹ്മണർ, കരൺ കായസ്ഥർ എന്നീ ജാതികളിൽ നിന്നുള്ള ആളുകൾ മൈഥിലി പ്രസ്ഥാനത്തെ ഹിന്ദി / ബംഗാളി ഭാഷയായി ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തേണ്ട നാളുകളിൽ പിന്തുണച്ചിരുന്നു. അതിനാൽ മൈഥിലി വിരുദ്ധ വിഭാഗങ്ങൾ മൈഥിലി ഭാഷയെ ബ്രാഹ്മണ ഭാഷയായി മുദ്രകുത്തി മറ്റ് പലരെയും പ്രകോപിപ്പിച്ചു. മിഥില മേഖലയിലെ ജാതികൾ അംഗികയും ബജ്ജികയും തങ്ങളുടെ മാതൃഭാഷകളായി ഉയർത്തിക്കാട്ടുന്നു. മൈഥിലി അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കിയുള്ള പ്രാദേശിക സ്വത്വത്തിൽ നിന്ന് വേർപെടുത്താനും ശ്രമിക്കുന്നു.[15]
ഔദ്യോഗിക പദവി
[തിരുത്തുക]2018 മുതൽ ഇന്ത്യൻ സംസ്ഥാനമായ ജാർഖണ്ഡിൽ അംഗികയ്ക്ക് "രണ്ടാം സംസ്ഥാന ഭാഷ" എന്ന പദവിയുണ്ട്. മൈഥിലി ഉൾപ്പെടെ മറ്റ് 15 ഭാഷകളുമായി ഇത് ഈ പദവി പങ്കിടുന്നു.[3][16]
