.be ir Beļģijas Interneta augstākā līmeņa domēns (ccTLD). Kad 1989. gadā domēns kļuva aktīvs to pārvaldīja Pīrs VerbātensPierre Verbaeten no Lēvenas Katoļu universitātes. 2000. gadā kontrole pār šo augstākā līmeņa domēnu tika nodota DNS Belgium. 2005. gada nogalē bija reģistrēti vairāk kā 470 000 domēni.[1]

2005. gada novembrī tika paziņots, ka līdz 2006. gadam .be domēnu būs iespējams reģistrēt bez maksas. Vienīgais ierobežojums — vienas personas reģistrēto domēnu skaits. Šīs akcijas pirmajā dienā tika reģistrēti 17 000 domēni.

Domēna reģistrācija notiek otrajā līmenī. Dažām lielākajām Beļģijas mācību iestādēm, tādas kā abas Briseles Brīvās universitātes (nīderlandiešu un franču) izmanto trešā līmeņa domēnu ac.be, bet abas Lēvenas Katoļu universitātes (nīderlandiešu un franču) un Gentes Universitāte šo otrā līmeņa domēnu neizmanto.

Domēnu .be ir iespējams reģistrēt ar akreditēta aģenta palīdzību.

Reģionālie domēni

Labēja partija Vlaams Belang iesniedza Flandrijas reģiona Flāmu Parlamentā projekta uzmetumu flāmu augstāka līmeņa .vl (no "Vlaanderen", flāmi holandiešu valodā) domēna iegūšanai, bet tas neguva atbalstu pārējo partiju vidū. Tikai ANO atzītas valstis var iegūt divu burtu augstāka līmeņa domēnus. 2008. gada oktobrī flāmu valdība izteica vēlmi iegūt Flandrijai augstāka līmeņa domēnu .vla, .vln vai .fla.
