Martin E. P. Seligman (g. 1942 m. rugpjūčio 12 d. Albany, Niujorke) yra amerikietis psichologas ir knygų autorius. Jo sukurta įgyto bejėgiškumo teorija yra ypač vertinama mokslinėje psichologų bendruomenėje.[1] Jis taip pat plačiai žinomas kaip pozityviosios psichologijos įkūrėjas.[2] Seligman yra Pensilvanijos universiteto pozityviosios psichologijos centro direktorius.[3]

Pagal Haggbloom ir kolegų atliktą tyrimą, Seligmanas užima 13-ą vietą tarp dažniausiai cituojamų XX a. psichologų įvadiniuose pischologijos vadovėliuose.[4] Seligmanas 1998 m. buvo išrinktas Amerikos psichologų asociacijos prezidentu didžiausia balsų persvara šios institucijos istorijoje.[5]
