Storia de l'oget
Deutsch: Der Schlüssel, Attribut des heiligen Petrus, symbolisiert das Patrozinium der Pfarrkirche. Der Verschlusshaken in der Form eines Pferdekopfs gibt ein 1937 bei Ausgrabungen in der Gemeindeflur entdecktes, zu einer keltischen Gürtelkette gehörendes besonderes Stück wieder. Damit wird darauf hingewiesen, dass Manching durch umfangreiche archäologische Funde seit den 1950er-Jahren als eine befestigte keltische Großsiedlung bekannt wurde, die nach neueren Erkenntnissen wahrscheinlich bei kriegerischen Auseinandersetzungen zwischen Kelten und Germanen um das Jahr 30 v. Chr. zerstört worden war. Die Feldtingierung in Silber und Blau gibt die Farben des Hauses Wittelsbach und des Landes Bayern wieder.
