Zygomycota, vel fungi zygotici,[1] sunt obsoleta regni Fungorum divisio vel phylum, cuius partes inter phyla Mucoromycota et Zoopagomycota nunc digeruntur.[2] Circa 1060 species descriptae sunt.[3] Plurimae habitatione naturali sunt terrestres, in solo vel super tabescentem plantarum vel animalium materiem crescentes. Nonnullae sunt parasiti plantarum, insectorum, parvorumque animalium, cum aliae coniunctiones symbioticas cum plantis habeant.[4] Hyphae zygomycetarum coenocyticae esse possunt, saepta faciens solum ubi gametae hyphas mortuas concludunt. Zygomycota non iam a mycologis rite agnoscuntur, quia vere monophyletica non esse putantur.[2]
Etymologia
[recensere | fontem recensere]Nomen Zygomycota zygosporangia attingit, usitate a speciebus huius cladi facta, ubi sphaericae zygosporae resistentes per reproductionem sexualem generantur. Zygos, Graece 'coniunctione' et 'iugum' significans, fusionem binorum filorum hyphalium attingit, quae has sporas gignit, et -mycota est suffixum quod certam fungorum divisionem attingit.[5]
