Quinque libri classici[1] Sinenses sive quinque volumina[2] sic enumerantur:

  • Liber mutationum (Yi-Kim sive Yijing, Sinice 易經)
  • Liber carminum (Chi-king sive Shijing, Sinice 詩經)[3], aliter Libri odarum[4];
  • Libri historiales (Xu-Kim sive Shujing, Sinice 書經)[5]
  • Urbanitatis ac morum liber[6] (Li jing, Sinice 禮經) tria capita comprehendens, videlicet:
  • Ver et autumnus (Chun-Cieu sive Chunqiu, Sinice 春秋)[8]

His saepe additur textus non iam servatus "classicum musicum" appellatus (樂經 Yuè jīng), qui, si re vera olim exstiterit, post librorum cremationem deperditus est. Chronographus Sima Qian "classicum sextum" nuncupavit.[9]
