Pinatubus[1] est stratovolcanus (genus montis igniferi) vivus in insula Luconia ad decussationem finium Zambales, Tarlac, Pampangaeque provinciarum Philippinarum situs. Ante 1991 absconsus erat, graviter arrosus, nemore tectus, a multis hominibus incultus; mense autem Iunio eiusdem anni erumpens, milia destruxit domorum, et plus quam octingentesimos homines interfecit.
