Ludi... consolus...? Um... sorry to be so unconstructive, but WTF?? --Iustinus 05:18, 23 Decembris 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Iustine, vide paginam meam, sub voce "Consolus, ludi consolus." IacobusAmor 13:19, 23 Decembris 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The current picture seems to illustrate the old-fashioned sense of the word, not the sense discussed in the article. IacobusAmor 15:15, 23 Decembris 2006 (UTC)[reply]
... now I found more pictures on Commons. I've added the link. Feel free to change the picture. --Rolandus 08:37, 24 Decembris 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Commentarii de consola

[fontem recensere]
  • Consolus masculini generis nulla ratione niti videtur.
  • Angl. console est vocabulum a voce Francogallica console mutuatum, quae primo sustentaculum in pariete fixum significabat, quo quaevis proiectura aedificii fulcitur. Huiusmodi fulturae Latine vocantur ancones. Praeterea Fcg. console etiam mensulam ornatam contra parietem ad vasa aliaque decora fulcienda positam significat (Latine ferme cartibulum).
--Neander 23:05, 29 Martii 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Optime Neander. Mihi, cartibulum uti oportet nobis. Gratias tibi ago.--Jondel (disputatio) 08:32, 20 Ianuarii 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Traupman (2007): monitor = 'monitorium'. IacobusAmor (disputatio) 10:07, 20 Ianuarii 2015 (UTC)[reply]

While computer monitor and computer console are nearly identical, a console is more of an appliance like furniture. A monitor is more like a 24 hour 'guarding' device like heart rate or ECG monitor in a hospital. Thanks however for looking this up , this save me time for future related articles. --Jondel (disputatio) 15:42, 20 Ianuarii 2015 (UTC)[reply]
