It is sometimes difficult to write about something about which you have definite opinions. Fortunately the Civil war happened long enough ago that none of us were in it. A good check that I used when writing the Cuba article is to make sure your facts are corroboraed by more than one source and I was also careful to tred softly or sidestep topics for which there is clear controversy especially when the controversy is about the facts. --Rafaelgarcia 15:36, 14 Septembris 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In my high school in New Jersey, we had two years of American history but managed to completely skip over the Civil war. Hi yall. I'm just wondering how to translate Cofederate States of America when we use the expression Civitates Foederatae Americae to say USA. It would be better to translate USA wuth Unitae Civitates Americae and CSA with (Con)Foederatae Civitates Americae.
