Forma Cytomegaloviri.

Capsida[1] est proteinacea viri putamen, quod in nonnullis subunitatibus structuralibus oligomericis ex proteino protomeris appellato factis consistit. Subunitates morphologicae dimensionum trium quae videri possunt, quae cum proteinis singulis congruere possunt an non, capsomera appellantur. Capsida materiam geneticam viralem includit.

Nonnulla vira includuntur, quod significat capsidam obduci membrana lipida involucro virali appellata. Involucrum a capsida ex membrana intracellulari in viri hoste capitur; inter exempla sunt interior membrana nuclearis, membrana golgiana, et exterior cellulae membrana.[2]

Capsidae secundum structuram late describuntur. Maior pars virorum habent capsidas quarum structura est helicalis aut icosahedralis.[3][4] Nonnulla vira, sicut bacteriophagia, structuras multipliciores evolverunt per vim elasticitatis et electrostaticae.[5] Forma icosahedralis, cui sunt viginti facies triangulares aequilaterales, paene est sphaera, ac forma helica est cylindricalis.[6] Facies capsidarum ex uno vel pluribus proteinis constare possunt. Exempli gratia, capsidae viri morbi pedis et oris facies habent quae in tribus proteinis, VP1–3 appellatis, consistunt.[7]
