하향격풍

하향격풍은 매우강한 하강기류를 뜻하는 말이며 주로 악뇌우 밑의 하강기류이다. 악 뇌우 밑의 하강기류는 국지화되어 지상에 도달하면서 수평으로 퍼지게 된다. 급격한 바람의 폭발을 일으키는 현상이다.
