타임키퍼
타임키퍼(timekeeper)는 시간의 경과를 측정하는 기기나 사람이다. 사람에게는 시간 기록원, 계시원 등의 표현이 유의어로 사용된다. 기기에는 시간 기록계, 시간 기록기라는 용어가 사용된다.
시간 기록원
시간 기록원은 시계나 스톱워치의 도움을 받아 시간을 측정하는 사람이다. 시간 기록원은 스포츠 경기 등의 행사 중에 남은 시간을 기록하기도 한다.

시간 기록계는 직원이 근무한 시간을 추적하는 타임 클럭을 의미하기도 한다. 이러한 데이터를 수집함으로써 고용주는 노동력을 확인하게 된다. 이후 생산성을 높이고 인건비를 줄이기 위한 결정을 하게 된다.
