[編集]- 5月8日 - グラウスの戦い。エル・シッド麾下といわれるカスティーリャ王国とサラゴサのアミールの連合軍、アラゴン王国軍に勝利。戦死のアラゴン王ラミロ1世に代わり、子のサンチョ・ラミレスが即位[1]。
- ジョヴァンニ・オルランディ麾下のピサ共和国艦隊、オートヴィルのルッジェーロの野望に協力し、ムスリムの支配下にあったパレルモを猛攻[2]。
- シチリア島でチェラーミの戦い。ルッジェーロ麾下のノルマン軍、聖ゲオルギオスの幻に助けられ、兵数において圧倒的優位にあるムスリム軍を撃破[3]。
