全国職業資格
全国職業資格（ぜんこくしょくぎょうしかく、National Vocational Qualifications、NVQ）は、英国イングランド、ウェールズ、北アイルランドにおける職業技能レベルの国家認定制度であり、教育省配下の政府機関資格・カリキュラム開発機構(QCA)が所管している[1][2]。スコットランドではスコットランド職業資格（Scottish Vocational Qualification、SVQ）として知られる[1]。
NVQはNational Occupational Standardsで定義される「与えられた仕事の役割」が元になっており、それは11の分野に渡り、レベルは1-5段階に分かれている[3]。1は基本作業レベル、5はシニアマネジメントレベルとなる。英国では428万人（労働力人口の14%）がNVQを取得している[3]。
NVQを取得するためには、そのレベルに応じた職業遂行能力を持っていることを職場実地にて証明する必要がある[1]。具体的には査定人の前で業務を完遂してみせ、査定人がその作業をチェックすることとなる[1]。特定の履修時間数を要求することはなく[1]、年齢制限も存在しない[1]。

認定の互換性
[編集]NVQのレベル認定は全国資格フレームワーク（NQF）や資格単位フレームワーク（QCF）において、以下の資格認定レベルとの互換性が定義されている[4][5]。
高等教育
[編集]NVQレベル5は、高等国家ディプロマ（HND）および学士レベルと同等とされている。
シティ＆ギルド
[編集]シティ＆ギルドも職業教育機関のひとつであり、NVQとの同等性は以下である。
- シティ＆ギルド Licentiateship認定（LCGI）は、NVQレベル4下位認定
- シティ＆ギルド Both Graduateship認定（GCGI）とAssociateship認定（ACGI）は、NVQレベル4上位認定
- シティ＆ギルド Membership認定（MCGI）とFellowship認定（FCGI）は、NVQレベル5以上認定
