偽竜類(ぎりゅうるい、Nothosauroidea)とは三畳紀に存在した、海生の爬虫類であり、鰭竜類に属する。哺乳類の鰭脚類のように海中で獲物を捕らえるが、岸にも現れていた。全長は3m程で、四肢はヒレ状であり、泳ぐことに適している[1]。長い首を持つが、比較的体は小さい。長い顎の縁には鋭く外向きの歯があり、魚やイカを主食としていたことが考えられる。ジュラ紀、白亜紀に繁栄した首長竜類とは近縁であり、偽竜類の初期群から首長竜類は分岐したとされる。
