イギリス中国艦隊（The China Station）は、1865年から1941年まで存在した、イギリス海軍の艦隊である。
概要
[編集]イギリスの権益が中国に拡大されたことに伴い、1831年にそれまでの東インド艦隊を東インド・中国艦隊とした[1]。1865年、東インド艦隊と中国艦隊は再び分離され、中国艦隊は中国内の航行可能な河川、西太平洋、オランダ領東インドを担当した[2]。
中国艦隊は、植民地のシンガポール、香港（HMS Tamar、1865年–1941年）、威海衛（1898年-1930年）を基地とした。通常は数隻の旧式軽巡洋艦と駆逐艦で編成され、チャイナ・ガンボートと呼ばれる河川用の砲艦も配属された[3]。所属艦艇は、通常船体と上部構造物を白、煙突を暗色で塗装されていた。
第二次世界大戦の勃発、並びに敵国ドイツの同盟国の大日本帝国の脅威が高まったために、1941年に東インド艦隊と再び統合され東洋艦隊となった[4]。
