ヴァンダナ・シヴァ
ヴァンダナ・シヴァ（Vandana Shiva、1952年[1]11月5日[2] - ）は、インドの哲学者、環境活動家。
ウッタラーカンド州デヘラードゥーン生まれ[3]。1973年、パンジャブ大学修士号（物理学）[3]。1976年、ゲルフ大学修士号（科学哲学）[3]。1978年、ウェスタンオンタリオ大学で博士号（量子理論）取得[3]。1982年、科学・技術・自然資源政策研究財団（現 科学・技術・エコロジー研究財団）設立[3]。1987年から種子保全運動を開始し[3]、1991年からナヴダニヤ運動として生物多様性や資源保全活動を開始する[3]。1993年、ライト・ライブリフッド賞、国連環境計画グローバル500賞、国連アースデイ国際賞、オランダ王国ゴールデン・アーク勲章を受賞[3]。1997年、ゴールデン・プラント賞受賞[3]。2009年セーブ・ザ・ワールド賞[3]。2010年シドニー平和賞[3]。2011年、カルガリー平和賞、トマス・マートン賞を受賞[3]。2012年には福岡アジア文化賞・大賞を受賞した[2]。
エコロジーとフェミニズムを結び付けた「エコフェミニズム」という領域を開拓した人物と評される[2]。活動の根底には「アース・デモクラシー（大地の民主主義）」という思想があり[2]、緑の革命や遺伝子組換え作物に代表される現代農業に対して批判的である[4]。
