[modifica | modifica wikitesto]Al termine della stagione 2001 sono retrocesse Ekibastuzes, Jetisý, Taraz, Dostyq e Mańǵystaý. Dalla Birinşi Lïga non ci sono state promozioni. Il numero di squadre si è così ridotto da diciassette a dodici.
