La medaglia Edison (IEEE Edison Medal) è un riconoscimento assegnato dall'IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) alle persone che hanno conseguito risultati meritori nel campo dello studio o dell'ingegneria dei fenomeni elettrici. Può essere assegnato solo a una persona singola.
La medaglia, che prende il nome da Thomas Edison, fu istituita l'11 febbraio 1904 da un gruppo di amici e simpatizzanti dell'inventore. La prima medaglia venne assegnata nel 1909 a Elihu Thomson; altri vincitori del premio furono George Westinghouse, Alexander Graham Bell, Nikola Tesla, Robert Millikan (premio Nobel 1923) e Vannevar Bush.[1]
