Giulio Cesare, o secondo la denominazione ufficiale Julius Caesar, è un cratere lunare di 84,72 km situato nella parte nord-orientale della faccia visibile della Luna, ad ovest del Mare Tranquillitatis e immediatamente a sudest del cratere Manilio sul Mare Vaporum. Verso est giace il cerchio del cratere Sosigenes.
Il cratere è ricoperto da lava e il suo bordo è basso, irregolare e pesantemente danneggiato. La superficie interna è relativamente livellata, specialmente nella metà sudovest. La metà settentrionale presenta un coefficiente di albedo più alta (è quindi più scura) di quella meridionale. Più probabilmente la superficie è stata ricoperta o modificata da ejecta (detriti) provenienti dall'impatto che ha creato il vasto bacino del Mare Imbrium. Vi sono alcuni residui di crateri che si sovrappongono al bordo lungo il confine a sud e a nordest. Una bassa catena di creste attraversa la superficie lungo le sezioni nordest del cratere.
Il cratere è dedicato al generale e dittatore romano Gaio Giulio Cesare.
