Atari 2600 er leikjatölva sem kom út í október árið 1977, gefin út af Atari. Vélin var fyrst seld sem Atari VCS (skammstöfun á Video Computer System) en eftir að seinni vélin Atari 5200 kom út þá var hún skýrð Atari 2600. Með henni fylgdu tvær stýripinnafjarstýringar og tvær aðrar fjarstýringar með snúningsshjóli á og skottökkum (paddle controller) og tölvuleikurinn Combat seinna meir fylgdi með hinn vinsæli Pac-Man. Atari-tölvan var gasalega vinsæl um árið 1980.

Árið 2006 var tekið leikjatölvuna inn í hóp þeirra útvöldu leikfanga í National Toy Hall of Fame í Bandaríkjunum. Meðal forritara Atari 2600 eru:
