Tupolev Tu-70 (Kode NATO: Cart) adalah varian pesawat penumpang dari bomber Tu-4 (yang merupakan salinan Boeing B-29 Superfortress buatan Amerika[1]) sayap rendah (low wing) dirancang setelah akhir Perang Dunia II. Pesawat ini menggunakan sejumlah komponen dari Boeing B-29 yang dipaksa mendarat di Uni Soviet selama pengeboman Jepang.[2] Ia merupakan pesawat bertekanan pertama di Uni Soviet dan pertama kali terbang pada tanggal 27 November 1946.[3] Pesawat ini berhasil diuji dan direkomendasikan untuk produksi serial, tetapi akhirnya tidak diproduksi karena perintah militer.
