Tetrapoda (Yunani τετραποδη tetrapoda, Latin quadrupedal, "berkaki-empat") adalah hewan vertebrata yang berkaki empat, kaki atau seperti kaki. Tetrapoda mencakup seluruh hewan amfibi dan amniota beserta dengan turunan evolusinya, baik yang masih lestari maupun yang sudah punah, seperti burung, mamalia, dan reptil. Beberapa hewan tetrapoda seperti ular, kadal tanpa kaki, dan sesilia telah mutasi pada gen Hox sehingga kakinya tereduksi dan menjadi hewan tetrapoda tanpa kaki.[3]
Tetrapoda awal berasal dari Sarcopterygii atau ikan bersirip lobus, yang kemudian berevolusi menjadi hewan semiakuatik yang dikenal sebagai tetrapodomorpha, sekitar 390 juta tahun lalu di periode Devon.[4] Vertebrata berkaki yang berevolusi setelahnya diketahui muncul pada pertengahan periode Devon dan fosilnya banyak diidentifikasi berasal dari periode Devon akhir, yang diketahui hidup di lingkungan akuatik. Sementara itu, nenek moyang bersama tetrapoda yang mampu melakukan lokomosi darat diperkirakan muncul pada periode Mississippian (awal periode karbon, sekitar 350 juta tahun lalu).[5]
