Stefan Banach (Polandia: [ˈstɛfan ˈbanax] (
dengarkan); 30 Maret 1892 – 31 Agustus 1945) adalah seorang matematikawan Polandia[1] yang umum disebut sebagai salah satu matematikawan abad ke-20 paling penting dan berpengaruh di dunia. Ia adalah pendiri analisis fungsional modern,[2] dan anggota asli dari Sekolah Matematika Lwów. Karya besarnya adalah buku tahun 1932, Théorie des opérations linéaires (Teori Operasi-Operasi Linear), monografi pertama soal teori umum analisis fungsional.
