Reaktor air ringan atau light-water reactor (LWR) adalah jenis reaktor termal-neutron yang menggunakan air biasa, bukan air berat, baik sebagai pendingin maupun moderator neutronnya ; selanjutnya bentuk padat elemen fisil digunakan sebagai bahan bakar. Reaktor neutron termal adalah jenis reaktor nuklir yang paling umum, dan reaktor air ringan adalah jenis reaktor neutron termal yang paling umum.[1][2][3][4][5][6]

Ada tiga jenis reaktor air ringan: reaktor air bertekanan (PWR), reaktor air mendidih (BWR), dan (sebagian besar desain) reaktor air superkritis (SCWR).
