Penduduknya rajin menuntut ilmu agama, dari habis subuh sampai setelah salat isya. di antara tokoh-tokohnya pun ada KH. Muhammad Afdlol Pengasuh Majlit Ta'lim AL-AFDLOL yang sudah berdiri sejak tahun 1980-an, Kiyai Ali Rokhison, Kyai Junaidi wardi, Kiyai Musyafa'. selain itu Podosari juga terkenal masyarakatnya yang Guyub rukun, bersatu dan masih memegang teguh prinsip kearifan lokal.
Desa ini mempunyai 1 Masjid (hidayatul Ibad) yang keunikan masjid dari segi bentuknya menyerupai miniatur masjid Istiqlal jakarta, mempunyai 8 Musholla, 1 SD Negeri, 1 TK, 1 PAUD dan 1 TPQ 1 MDA. dan desa ini desa terkecil di kecamatan cepiring karena hanya mempunyai dua RW (1 dan 2) yang mana RW 1 mempunyai 7 RT dan RW mempunyai 6 RT.
