Pertempuran Elmina adalah sebuah pertempuran kecil yang berlangsung pada masa Perang Belanda-Portugal di Kastel São Jorge da Mina (Kastel Elmina)[3][7] di Pantai Emas Portugal pada tahun 1625. Pertempuran ini meletus setelah 1.200 pasukan Geoctroyeerde Westindische Compagnie (yang diangkut oleh armada yang berjumlah 15 kapal) mendarat dan menyerbu kastel Portugal. Garnisun Portugal diperkuat oleh 200 pasukan Afrika yang direkrut dari kepala suku lokal oleh gubernur Sottomayor.[8]

Belanda membuka pertempuran dengan membombardir kastil Portugal. Setelah itu, Belanda mencoba memasuki kastil, tetapi mereka disergap oleh pasukan Portugal dari posisi tersembunyi. Akibatnya, hampir seluruh pasukan Belanda tewas, termasuk panglima tertinggi dan perwira-perwiranya.[5] Jumlah korban jiwa di pihak Portugal sangat rendah, dan mereka menyita 15 bendera, 15 gendang dan lebih dari 1.000 senapan, tombak dan seragam.

Kapal-kapal Belanda menembakkan lebih dari 2.000 peluru sebelum mereka mundur.
