Perang Inggris-Afganistan Kedua (Pashto: د افغان-انګرېز دويمه جګړه) adalah perang yang meletus antara Britania Raya melawan Keamiran Afganistan antara tahun 1878 hingga 1880, saat Afganistan dikuasai oleh Sher Ali Khan dari Dinasti Barakzai, putra mantan Amir Dost Mohammad Khan. Perang ini merupakan kedua kalinya Britania menyerang Afganistan. Britania berhasil memenangkan perang dan Afganistan memperbolehkan Britania mencapai tujuan-tujuan geopolitik mereka dalam Traktat Gandamak. Sebagian besar tentara Britania dan India mundur dari Afganistan. Afganistan masih memiliki kedaulatan internal, tetapi harus menyerahkan urusan hubungan luar negeri kepada Britania.[4][5]
