Pada angkutan umum perkotaan, ketentuan dibuat untuk penumpang yang berdiri, yang sering disebut straphanger[1][2][3][4] atau standees,[5] untuk merasionalisasi pengoperasian dan menyediakan kapasitas ekstra selama jam sibuk.
