Miles Wedderburn Lampson Killearn

Miles Wedderburn Lampson Killearn adalah seorang diplomat berkebangsaan Inggris.[1] Dia lahir pada tangal 24 Agustus tahun 1880 di Killearn, Skotlandia dan meninggal saat 20 Oktober 1964 di Sussex Timur.[1] Dia masuk dinas di kementerian Luar Negeri Inggris sejak 1903.[1] Lampson bertugas sebagai Komisaris Tinggi untuk Siberia, Mesir, Sudan, dan duta besar di Cina.[1]

Pada tahun 1946, dia diangkat sebagai komisaris khusus untuk Asia Tenggara.[1] Dalam kedudukan tersebut dia banyak terlibat dalam pertikaian antara BelandaIndonesia.[1] Berkat perantaraannya, dua negara tersebut berhasil mencapai gencatan senjata yang kemudian terbentuk perjanjian Linggarjati (1946 sampai 1948).[1]

Kehidupan

Lampson adalah anak dari Norman George Lampson dan Helen Agnes Blackburn.[2] Istri pertamanya bernama Rachel Mary Hele Phipps (putri dari William Wilton Phipps) saat 6 Juli tahun 1912.[2] Kemudian dia menikah untuk kedua kalinya tanggal 18 Desember 1934 dengan Jacqueline Aldine Leslie Castellani (putri dari Sir Aldo Castellani).[2] Dia kuliah di Eton College, wilayah Windsor, Berkshire, Inggris.[2]
