Litium klorida adalah sebuah senyawa kimia dengan rumus LiCl. Garam tersebut merupakan senyawa ionik yang khas, meskipun ukuran kecil dari ion Li+ menghasilkan sifat-sifat yang tidak ada pada klorida logam alkali lainnya, seperti kelarutan yang luar biasa pada pelarut polar (83,05 g/100 mL air pada 20 °C) dan sifat higroskopisnya.[5]

Pembuatan

Litium klorida dibuat dengan cara mencampur litium karbonat dengan asam klorida.

Penggunaan

Molten LiCl digunakan untuk pembuatan karbon nanotube,[6] grafena[7] dan litium niobat.[8]
