Islam tradisionalis

Islam tradisionalis atau Islam tradisional, dalam konteks masyarakat Muslim di Indonesia, merujuk kepada sebuah pendirian agama yang memegang sifat pada upacara dan pemahaman lokal yang berdiri secara tradisional. Muslim tradisionalis menyebut diri mereka sendiri sebagai ahlusunnah wal jamaah atau aswaja.[1] Traditionalisme sering kali kontras dengan modernisme, yang terinspirasi oleh modernitas dan rasionalisme. Tradisionalisme telah menjadi orientasi agama Muslim paling diikuti dalam sejarah Muslim Indonesia kontemporer. Keberadaan tradisionalisme banyak tumpang tindih dengan pengaruh organisasi sosio-agama Nahdlatul Ulama, organisasi Muslim terbesar di Indonesia.[a] Tradisionalisme juga merupakan unsur kritikal dalam gerakan intelektual Muslim yang dikenal sebagai Islam Nusantara.

Di antara partai politik di Indonesia utama cuma Partai Persatuan Pembangunan (PPP) mengikuti Islam tradisional sebagai ideologinya.[3]
