In the Court of the Crimson King (subjudul An Observation by King Crimson) adalah album studio debut oleh band rock progresif Inggris, King Crimson, dirilis pada 10 Oktober 1969 oleh Island Records.[3] Album ini adalah salah satu yang paling awal dan paling berpengaruh pada genre rock progresif, dengan menggabungkan unsur-unsur musik yang ada pada musik rock dengan elemen-elemen dari jazz, klasik, dan simfonik.
Dihormati oleh banyak kritikus sebagai salah satu album rock progresif terbaik sepanjang masa, album ini mencapai urutan kelima pada UK Albums Chart dan urutan ke-28 pada US Billboard 200, disertifikasi Gold oleh Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
