Nicolas Camille Flammarion (lahir: 26 February 1842, meninggal: 3 June 1925) adalah seorang astronom, ilmuan, dan penulis berkebangsaan Prancis.[1][2] Flammarion menulis lebih dari 70 buku dalam bidang astronomi, meteorologi, dan geologi[1] dan telah diterjemahkan kedalam berbagai bahasa.[2] Sejak tahun 1858, Flammarion mulai melakukan penelitiannya sebagai pengamat bintang di Paris Observatory dan Bureau of Longitudes.[2] Pada 1833, ia mendirikan observatorium pribadi di Juvisy,[1] Paris dan melanjutkan penelitiannya tentang Bulan dan Mars.[2] Buku pertamanya berjudul La pluralité es mondes habité (Bahasa Inggris: The Plurality of Inhabited Worlds) diterbitkan tahun 1862.[2] Pada tahun 1882, bukunya telah terbit dalam 33 edisi dan terus diterjemahkan kedalam berbagai bahasa dan dicetak ulang hingga abad ke-20.[2]
