Beji adalah sebuah kecamatan di Kota Depok, Jawa Barat, Indonesia. Di wilayah ini terdapat berbagai universitas, diantaranya Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Gunadarma dan Bina Sarana Informatika. Selain itu, ada juga beberapa stasiun kereta diantaranya Stasiun Depok Baru, Stasiun Pondok Cina dan Stasiun Universitas Indonesia.

Kecamatan Beji berbatasan dengan Kecamatan Jagakarsa (Jakarta Selatan) di sebelah utara, Kecamatan Pancoran Mas di sebelah selatan, Kali Ciliwung / Kecamatan Sukmajaya dan Cimanggis di sebelah timur, dan Kecamatan Cinere dan Limo di sebelah barat.

Sejarah

Beji, hingga tahun 1933, merupakan tanah partikelir yang berada di bawah Pondok Cina.[1] Wilayah Pondok Cina kemudian diperkecil dan status Beji kemudian ditingkatkan menjadi suatu kecamatan yang membawahi Pondok Cina.[per kapan?][butuh rujukan]
