Balang adalah salah satu kelurahan di Kecamatan Binamu, Kabupaten Jeneponto, Sulawesi Selatan, Indonesia.
Kantor kelurahan Balang terletak di LembangloE, salah satu lingkungan dari kelurahan Balang. Di lingkungan ini pernah berdiam seorang Anrong Guru (Guru Besar Tradisional) bernama Guru Kanjara, dikenal sebagai orang pertama yang membawa ajaran Islam ke LembangloE, melalui sungai Jeneponto dan mendarat di sebuah kampung yaitu Salekoa.
Guru Kanjara dikenal dengan nama asli Sjech Muhammad Abdullah Ashari, berasal dari Irak.
Guru besar ini menurunkan belasan guru, termasuk Anrong Guru Malluru, yang telah menurunkan puluhan Imam dan guru tradisional di Kecamatan Binamu, Kabupaten Jeneponto. Putra bungsu dari Anrong Guru Malluru bernama Guru Djoha, yang merupakan turunan ke XIV dari Anrong Guru Kanjara.
