Awal Musim Semi adalah lukisan gulir gantung karya Guo Xi. Rampung pada tahun 1072, lukisan ini adalah salah satu karya seni Tiongkok yang paling terkenal di masa Dinasti Song. Karya ini menunjukkan teknik inovatifnya untuk menghasilkan berbagai perspektif yang disebutnya "sudut totalitas".

Puisi di sudut kanan atas ditambahkan pada 1759 oleh Kaisar Qianlong, bunyinya:

Mandari Pinyin Terjemahan
樹纔發葉溪開凍 shù cái fā yè xī kāidòng Pohon-pohon baru mulai tumbuh daunnya; sungai yang beku mulai mencair.
樓閣仙居最上層 lóugé xiānjū zuì shàngcéng Sebuah bangunan ditempatkan di tanah yang tertinggi, tempat keabadian bersemayam.
不藉柳桃閒點綴 bù jiè liǔ táo jiàn diǎnzhuì Tidak ada apa pun di antara pohon-pohon willow dan persik yang dapat merusak pemandangan.
春山早見氣如蒸 chūnshān zǎo jiàn qì rú zhēng Kabut yang seperti uap dapat terlihat di gunung musim semi pada pagi hari.
