Algirdas Mykolas Brazauskas (22 September 1932 – 26 Juni 2010) adalah mantan Presiden Lithuania dan mantan Perdana Menteri. Peralihan pemerintahannya pada 31 Mei 2006 setelah Partai Buruh kiri dapat membentuk koalisi [1].

Ia lahir di Rokiškis (Lithuania) dan menempuh pendirikan di Kaunas Polytechnic Institute pada 1956 untuk meraih gelar dalam bidang teknik sipil. Ia menjabat banyak posisi di pemerintahan Republik Sosialis Lituania Soviet dan Partai Komunis Lituania sejak 1965. Jabatan itu seperti:

1965-1967: Menteri Industri Konstruksi Material Republik Sosialis Lituania Soviet.
1967-1977: Wakil Ketua Komite Perencanaan Negara Republik Sosialis Lituania Soviet.
1977-1987: Sekretaris Komite Pusat Partai Komunis Lituania.

Ia menjabat Perdana Menteri sejak 3 Juli 2001 atas penunjukan parlemen.
