Gandalf (mago)
Gandalf es un mago qui es un personage importante in le obra litterari de J. R. R. Tolkien, includente The Hobbit e The Lord of the Rings.
Le parte de Gandalf era jocate per William Squire in le film animate de 1978 The Lord of the Rings e per Ian McKellan in le series de filmes (dirigite per Peter Jackson) The Hobbit e The Lord of the Rings.
Per le elves ille es appellate Mithrandir, que significa "peregrino gris." Le personage Faramir dice a Frodo que Gandalf ha dicte que ille era appellate per multe nomines, includente Olorin[1]; in "Valaquenta", le secunde parte del libro Le Silmarillion, il es explicate que Olorin era "le plus sage" del Maiar (singular: Maia), un gruppo de spiritos o deitates minor qui son eternal, create per Deo ante le creation del mundo material.[2]
